A well planned city can be a godsend for people facing poverty. Lumping low-income housing into a single district with little resources is akin to tossing weights to a drowning man and wondering why he can't just swim.

Mobility and transportation are among the greatest deciding factors in someones trajectory. When trains and buses don't keep schedule, when cars are too expensive and resources and employment are too far apart, people will struggle.

Though we typically think of physical infrastructure, Internet has become a dominant player. When people are unable to access cell services or internet, they are at a massive disadvantage in employment as well as education.
